Altamira Residents: Commercial Vehicle Parking Petition

January 27, 2026

The Board of Directors for Mission Bend MUD No. 2 is taking active steps to address concerns regarding overnight commercial vehicle parking on our community streets. You may have noticed new door hangers (pictured below) arriving at your home.

The District is currently seeking to improve neighborhood safety and aesthetics, but we need your help to make it official.

To begin enforcing towing and installing "No Parking" signs, Harris County requires a formal petition signed by at least 25% of owners or tenants within the subdivision.

The benefits of this initiative include:

  • Safer Streets: Improved visibility for drivers and pedestrians.
  • Property Protection: Preventing street damage caused by heavy loads.
  • Emergency Access: Ensuring fire trucks and ambulances can navigate streets without obstruction.
  • Reduced Congestion: Clearing clutter to keep our traffic flowing smoothly.

How You Can Help:

  1. Find the "Action Required" hanger on your front door.
  2. Complete the Signature Form Petition located on the backside of the hanger.
  3. Simply hang the signed petition back on your doorknob.

Collection Date

District representatives will be coming through the neighborhood to collect these signatures on: Tuesday, February 3rd

By signing, you are supporting the installation of signage prohibiting the overnight parking of 18-wheelers and other commercial vehicles within the District. Let’s work together to keep Mission Bend MUD No. 2 safe and beautiful.
